Information on the City's Grant Application to Acquire Boise Cascade Property on Minto-Brown Island
On April 23, 2012, City Council approved a staff recommendation to apply for a grant under the Willamette Wildlife Mitigation Program to aquire and conserve all or part of 300 acres of Boise Cascade property on Minto-Brown Island.

In October 2011 the Oregon Department of Environmental Quality issued a completion letter to Boise Cascade regarding all activities required by DEQ towards permanently closing the treatment ponds historically used to treat paper mill wastewater on Minto Island. A current Environmental Site Assessment of the property will be completed as part of the grant application process.
