The City of Salem bills monthly approximately 56,000 separate residential, commercial, industrial, institutional, and wholesale customer account classifications for water, wastewater, and/or stormwater utilities.
If you have moved and need to cancel or start utility service, or if you have a question regarding your bill, call Customer Services at 503-588-6099 between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, or send an email to Customer Services. Please do not email time-sensitive issues. Payments can be mailed to PO Box 555, Salem OR 97308.
Utility Low Income Assistance Program
If you would like to participate in a tax-deductible donation program to help support individuals and families in need of assistance with utility bill payments, please complete a donation form and return it with your payment. Your donation is voluntary and will be used to provide assistance for those who are experiencing financial difficulties.
Dispatch Communications Center
The Dispatch Communications Center is responsible for dispatchig field crews and responding to an average of 20,000 customers who call with inquiries or to report a problem annually.
If you have a City infrastructure problem (broken pipe, pothole, etc.) to report, call the Dispatch Communications Center at 503-588-6333 or send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org. Please include in your email what the issue is, an address or location of the issue, and contact information including telephone number. Please do not send email for emergencies or inspections.
The Dispatch Communications Center is in operation 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.
