This is a plastic marker you may have seen on the curb near a catchbasin along many Salem streets. This serves as a warning sign not to place any wastes in the catchbasin since it discharges to one of the many streams within Salem, in this case Glenn Creek. The only discharge allowed, by law, to the stormwater sewer system is rainwater.
