Audible Signals Project

Description: City Engineer's installation of audible pedestrian signal equipment. This equipment provides audible and tactile information to pedestrians using the intersection; tones to find the push buttons, a raised arrow to tell them the direction to cross, and a verbal or percussive tone to let them know when to cross the street. The project also included concrete work to replace sidewalk and curb ramps so they meet ADA standards and provide accessibility to the audible pedestrian equipment. |
