Utility Billing

The Utility Billing E-payment system will be unavailable every Saturday morning between 2:45 a.m. and 5:15 a.m. due to maintenance.

Payments made online are subject to a 72-hour delay in posting to your utility account. If you have received a shut off notice or need to have payments posted immediately, please call the Customer Service Section at 503-588-6099 or pay in person at the Civic Center, 555 Liberty Street SE, Room 230.

To make a payment via telephone, call 1-800-430-1378.

The City of Salem is scheduled to perform a technology infrastructure update starting on Thursday, May 23, 2013 at 6:00 PM PST and lasting until Monday, May 27, 2013 PST 2:00 PM PST. During this update window, the City's E-Payments Services may experience brief periods of slowness or unavailability. If you are attempting to make a payment using the E-Payments service and run into any issues, please wait a couple minutes and then try again.

In order to make an online payment for your utility bill, you must be using one of the following browsers: Firefox version 3.5; Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0, 7.0, or 8.0; Netscape Navigator version 7.0 Chrome version 10 or Safari version, 3.2.1. Also, your browser must be enabled for both JavaScript and Cookies. To enable your browser for JavaScript or Cookies, please consult your browser documentation.
