Jayanthi Raman's NAVARASA KALINGA NARDANA, Indian dance featuring 10 dancers from Chennai, Delhi, and Portland!

The production showcases the theme of Navarasa – the nine moods codified in Indian dance literature. The theme is overlaid on the story of Lord Krishna’s battle and triumph over the snake Kalinga or Kaliya. The battle between the snake Kaliya and Lord Krishna has been told through many generations. Choreographed by Jayanthi Raman, the production features classical dances, folk and contemporary dances with exceptional original music score.
