If your driving privileges have been suspended by the Salem Municipal Court, you will receive a notice from Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV). You may have it reinstated through one of the following:

1. Payment in full. If your license is suspended or is pending suspension you must contact the court directly after paying your case in full.
2. Appear before a judge or speak to the violations bureau (located at the front desk/lobby of the Court) to request a payment plan and that the suspension be lifted. The violations bureau can be contact in person, over the phone, by mail, by email, and by fax.

You are responsible for contacting the DMV to request reinstatement of your license. In order for the DMV to reinstate your license, you must get clearance paperwork from the court. You may pick it up in person. These documents are faxed to DMV at the end of each day. However, DMV may take up to three business days to process the paperwork after it is received.

The Oregon DMV revokes driving privileges for many reasons and has additional requirements for getting your license reinstated.

The Court does not issue a hardship license. You must call the DMV to discuss this. Additionally, if your license is suspended by other Courts you will need to contact each court separately. Resolving a suspension with Salem Municipal Court does not resolve suspensions with other Courts of Law.
