The Rhythm & Song Circle is a welcoming and inclusive space where we gather in a circle and learn to play basic rhythms using various hand instruments and body percussion. We also explore using our voices and may sprinkle in a simple folk song to the percussion activities.
The circle's warm and friendly spirit nourishes musical expression, collaboration, and listening and fosters a strong sense of community and social connection. In addition to being playful and fun, the Rhythm & Song Circle promotes cognitive, physical, and psychosocial benefits, such as balance, posture, fine motor coordination, memory, and an overall sense of well-being.
