Why A Will is Not Enough

A properly executed will is often the foundation of a solid estate plan because it designates how and to whom your property will be distributed after death. However, a simple will is not enough to provide for what happens should you become incapacitated, or if you or your spouse become ill and need long term care.

Come listen to Elder Law Attorney Kathy Belcher explain what is needed to have a successful estate plan that will not only make certain all of your assets are transferred seamlessly to your heirs upon your death, but will also allow you and your spouse or family members to be taken care of in the event of incapacity.

Kathy Belcher is a partner with the firm of McGinty & Belcher, Attorneys, and has been helping Salem-Keizer’s seniors and families for almost thirty-five years with their estate planning needs, including long term care, Medicaid planning, guardianship/conservatorship, and probate. Kathy is a frequent speaker on estate planning and elder law topics, regularly presenting educational seminars for public and private groups.
