More than 30 miles of trails for walking, running, and biking are available in Historic Downtown Salem. The Union Street Railroad Bridge along with the Peter Courtney Minto Island Bicycle and Pedestrian Bridge connect three major urban parks:

- Wallace Marine Park (114 acres)
