Volunteer to Mark Storm Drains

placed-storm-drain-clean-streams-marker_web_1600x1067_color Over 15,000 storm drains dot 660 miles of streets in Salem. Storm drains help prevent flooding by channeling fallen rain off the streets. This is good news with all the rain Salem gets! With so many storm drains, the City needs your help to spread the word that trash or dirty water that enters a storm drain ends up in a local stream, where it creates pollution and can harm wildlife. You can help the City meet its goal of marking 100 drains per year with the Dump No Waste, Drains to Creek message.
