STRIDE 5K/10K Run/Walk Events

AGES: All ages
SEASON: Spring/Summer/Fall

Participate in one or all of the STRIDE run/walk events, taking place in some of Salem’s most loved parks. These events are open to all ages and abilities.

Strollers and dogs on a leash are welcome.

Bibs are available on event day, or when pre-registering in person.

Events in Bush’s Pasture and Wallace Marine Park utilize soft and hard trails. Events in Minto-Brown Island Park take place on hard trails.

Holiday Fun Runs/Walks

AGES: All ages
SEASON: Winter

Celebrate the Holiday Season with a Fun Run/Walk. Dressing up is always encouraged!

Strollers and dogs on a leash are welcome.

Bibs are available on the day of the event.

Frightfully Fun 1K / 3K

October 26th - Riverfront Park

  • 1k - 9:30 a.m.
  • 3k - 10:00 a.m.

Put your costumes to the test!

Cost: 1K / $5 per person, 3K / $5 per person

Turkey Trot 1K, 5K, 10K

November 23rd - Riverfront and Minto-Brown Island Parks

  • 10k - 9:30 a.m.
  • 5k - 10:00 a.m.
  • 1k - 10:30 a.m.

Join us for a quick jaunt before the Thanksgiving festivities begin!

Cost: 1K / $5 per person, 5K / $10 per person, 10K / $15 per person

Jingle Bell Relay 5K

December 13th - Riverfront Park

  • 5:30 p.m.

A 1k loop in Riverfront Park through the Holiday Light Display. The loop can be completed as an individual 5 times or bring a team a divide up the 5 loops as a relay. Relay teams will be given glow sticks to hand off to the next person.

Cost: $10 per team (A team is 1 person or more.)
